A dream come true!

Thursday, September 15, 2011

I've always longed to visit one of Anderson's Bookshop stores, and now I'm going to be able to? How? Because in what is a total dream come true, I'm going to be part of their Annual Young Adult Literature Conference next Saturday, September 24th.

Baltimore Book Festival!

Tuesday, September 21, 2010

If you live in the DC area, I'll be at the Baltimore Book Festival this Sunday, September 26th, as part of the 4:30 PM panel on Young Adult Literature--if you get a chance, come by and say hi!!

ALA 2010 yay!

Monday, June 21, 2010

I can't believe this weekend is ALA's annual meeting, but it is! This year, I'm lucky, not just because it's held in my hometown of Washington, DC, but also because I'm (hopefully) going to see lots of YOU!

I'll be at the following events:

Sunday June 27th

9-10 AM YALSA's Young Adult Author Coffee Klatch

1-2 PM signing ARCs of Grace (yay!!) in Penguin's booth--number 2500

2-3 PM signing copies of The Unwritten Rule in the Simon & Schuster booth--number 2644

I'll also be attending the Newberry/Calecott banquet on Sunday night, as well as the Printz reception on Monday night, June 28th, so if you get a chance stop by and say hi at least once!

Also, my friend Ivy Devlin, author of Low Red Moon, will also be signing on Sunday, June 27th, from 3-4 PM in Bloomsbury's booth (number 2800--tell her Elizabeth said hi!!)

DC area signing!!!

Wednesday, June 02, 2010

I'm very pleased to say I'll be doing a panel talk and signing in the DC area this month with Kieran Scott and Jenny Han--the three of us will be speaking, courtesy of Politics and Prose, at the Bethesda Public Library on Saturday, June 12th, at 2 PM.

If you live in the DC area, I hope you'll come by the library--it's very easy to get to via bus, car, or the Metro, plus Kieran and Jenny are both awesome, and since we're speaking at the library, we'll get a chance to talk to everyone in addition to just selling and signing books!

May events, YAY!

Saturday, May 08, 2010

I've got some really great events coming very soon:

First, I'll be signing copies of The Unwritten Rule at RJ Julia Booksellers and talking about books with Jenny Han AND Kieran Scott (yay!) at 7 PM on Thursday, May 20th, so if you live in/around Connecticut, make sure to come by! You can get more event details here

Second, I'll be at the Teen Author Carnival in New York on Monday, May 24th--I can't wait! (Last year was SO much fun!) The Teen Author Carnival will be held at the Jefferson Market Branch of the NYPL, and it starts at 5 PM--hope to see you there!

Third, I will be at BEA as well! On Wednesday, May 26th, I'll be signing copies of The Unwritten Rule in booth 3484 from 1:30-2:00, and Dutton will have some ARCs of my September release, Grace, available in booths 3540/3541. I'll also be attending the Book Blogger Convention Author Reception on Thursday, May 27th, starting at 4 PM

Finally, one last BEA thing...if you get a chance, stop by the YA paranormal panel on Wednesday, May 26th at 11 AM on the Downtown Stage--Holly Black, Richelle Mead, Andrea Cremer, and Ivy Devlin will all be there! (I happen to know Ivy *very* well--in fact, she'll be wearing sneakers just like the ones that are Sarah's favorites in The Unwritten Rule, which I think is awesome! Also, Ivy will also be signing copies of her new YA paranormal romance, Low Red Moon, on Thursday, May 27th, from 11 AM-12 PM in booth 4051)

April Events

Tuesday, April 06, 2010

Just wanted to share my April events with you:

On April 14th, I'll be reading from The Unwritten Rule at the Jefferson Market Branch of the New York Public Library as part of the Teen Author Reading Night Series. Loads of other amazing authors will be there, so if you live in the area, please come!

And on April 27th, I'm thrilled to say I'll be speaking at the New Jersey Library Association Conference with Patricia McCormick and Matt de la Pena -- if you're going to be at the conference, our panel starts at 3:30 PM and we'll be signing books both before and after!

celebrate The Unwritten Rule contest!

Thursday, March 25, 2010

So let's celebrate The Unwritten Rule:

How?

Email me a picture of either your online or bookstore receipt* for The Unwritten Rule by Tuesday, April 6th at midnight EST.

You'll also need to include your mailing info.

Why?

Because everyone who sends me a picture of their receipt (and remember, it has to be an actual receipt) will get a FREE hardcover young adult novel.

That's right. You buy my book, and I send you a FREE one!

But wait! There's more...

If the book goes below 1000 at amazon.com AND barnesandnoble.com, everyone will get TWO FREE YA books for as long as the book stays below 1000 in both places. I'll also randomly pick five people from the entries on April 7th, and those people, in addition to getting a free book, will also each get a $25 gift card to the bookstore of their choice! (And if I get enough entries, I'll make it ten winners!)

Receipt pictures should be sent to: elizabethscottcontest@gmail.com

And that's it!

So to recap: Buy a copy of The Unwritten Rule either online or at a bookstore by April 6th, send me a picture of your receipt and your mailing info to elizabethscottcontest@gmail.com, and you'll get a FREE hardcover young adult novel AND have a chance to win a $25 bookstore gift card as well!

fine print: please note that this contest is open to US residents/those with US mailing addys only. *receipt--if you order the book online, you must send me the receipt that comes when you get the book. Confirmation emails aren't receipts, and won't be counted as such.
